How do I get my RAID working switching from Windows 10 to Linux Mint.

Hi,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I have a problem switching to Linux from Windows.
My machine has an Asus m5a97 motherboard with raid built in.
It works without a driver on windows 7 and 10.
I have it setup as RAID 0 with 2 disks of 1TB, to form one disk of 2TB and possibly faster.
I downloaded Linux Mint and booted the flash disk.
When I went to install, It saw my windows drive as a single drive.
But when I installed it on the SSD and got rid of windows altogether, Mint sees 2 separate drives.
I panicked and restored windows 10 back.
How can I fix this? Asus has no linux anything!
Best to all and thanks.

Is there any reason to use that raid0 configuration on linux? I'd turn off hardware raid and use lvm if I were you.

The only reason is that I have 1.6TB of data and would like to keep them in one volume.
I found a link "How to Configure and Test RAID 0 on Linux Mint 20" and will give that a try.
It should also work for Linux Mint 21.
If that doesn't work, I'll give up and use the drives without raid.
Thanks for your input.

LVM can do that. That's why I suggested it.

I would suggest you really get to understand what RAID0 is - and how it differs from linear or JBOD.

Using a LVM lv over two or more disks is a much safer option. The extra complexity can be pretty much ignored after setup.

I have been through this before. ASUS motherboards don't have RAID regardless what ASUS claims. I know this from my own personal experience because I was repeatedly lied to by ASUS and was on numerous phone calls to ASUS support that on the 8th phone called they admitted it even though their motherboard documentation falsely claims to have RAID. What ASUS uses is software RAID which is a fake RAID which doesn't work on Linux. In order to set up a RAID you will need to get a hardware RAID controller card.
Best whishes
