Buying a new pc, opinions/advice/comments please

I saved my money from birthday etc. and got enough for a new pc, this is the planned system:

Case: Coolermaster Centurion 5
PSU: Coolermaster eXtreme Power (430 Watt)
DVD-writer: Samsung IDE - SH-S182M
RAM: 2* Kingston 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit
VGA: XFX nVidia PCIe -8800 GTS/500 (320mb)
HardDisk: Maxtor SATA - DiamondMax 21 (500 GB)
Motherboard: Intel Socket 775 - DP35DPM
CPU: Socket 775 - Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 (4x 2400 MHz)
CPU cooler: Freezer 7 Pro

As far as i can judge it would work good and all fit together etc. But maybe one of you has a suggestion on what to change, i dont have unlimited money so dont have all the 'top' hardware as that's to expensive, but this is quite nice i guess. Im wondering if this pc would work well with linux the soundcard is onboard.

If anyone has advice please post 'm, and let me know if this would work well with linux

Thanks in advance.

If this is the PSU RS-430-PMSR/P ATX12V, it's really a 400W unit. In any event even 430W is light. You're spending a lot of cash on your CPU and GPU, don't damage them with an undersized PSU. Go at least 650W.

Thanks for the advice :) my main problem is that im wondering if all the hardware would work well under linux, is there a list with hardware wich works out of the box on linux?

It'll work well. Have you looked at the LQ HCL --> http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/
