theweathernetwork.com Technical Issue

This is a years long issue on this notebook and it seems to be notebook-related rather than OS's or distribution. This is on Salix but Ubuntu, Alpine-Linux do the same. AFAIK Everything is up to date. How to fix this? I apologize but I can't attach any screenshots today due "security token", I hope one of the admin will fix this bug. Thanks! |

When you say "it seems to be notebook related rather than OS or distribution", is that because you have successfully accessed the website using the same browser on the same version of OS on a different computer? |

On Ubuntu Firefox and Chrome Yes, the same browsers (and version) works fine on other linux computers. I apologize but I can't attach screenshots today due "security token" |
Just to confirm, is this message all that's being displayed when you try to load the home page of the website? It's not instead being displayed on a particular other page of the site or when you try to load a certain feature, is it?
I take it you've tried clearing your cache or at least loading the website in a private browser window? I'm wondering if you've modified your browser configuration like disabling Javascript or are running extensions like uBlock Origin, which could be affecting how your browser reports and/or the server interprets the user agent. I'm clutching at straws here because I've loaded the site fine with my usual hardened Firefox, but it's possible there could be a setting which is causing problems. On Ubuntu, can you update your repositories and upgrade any software, then perform a system restart (even if there were no updates) and then install GNOME Web (epiphany-browser) and try loading the website in that without making any changes to the browser configuration? P.S. As an example of how servers can misinterpret the client browser / OS, this forum says I posted this message on Windows 10, despite me posting it from Pop!_OS. |

I tried to disable things over these 2 years but nothing changed. I just installed Epiphany-browser on Ubuntu and the same issue. As I said it looks to me that my notebook is lacking something. And I still can't attach pics on this website haha I disabled and removed AdBloker |
Even firefox 91 shows this site without a murmur. Does this notebook have some weird screen resolution perhaps?

Still, what's the output when you run dmidecode as root? Before posting the output here, remove Serial Number under System Information, Base Board Information and Chassis Information and remove UUID under System Information. |

FYI: I run Manjaro/Plasma/Wayland and tested using Firefox: no such problem.
Vivaldi, same platform, no problem. Chromium, no problem. Brave, no problem. Falkon, no problem. Dillo: never got that far, blocked TOR browser: blocked. How about WEATHER.COM? |

All good on weather.com, also the maps works well on weather.com. Hmmm ... |
Check how it looks from the outside e.g. here https://webbrowsertools.com/ and try to spot a difference with other machines.

You did not provide this information in your initial post and you ignored my question on this matter. Do you not think it may be relevant? |
