rgb color question ......

Hi. First, What does rgb stand for? I'm guessing .... red green blue??
Anyways I was messing with my WindowMaker config files and noticed a menu entry like this>

MenuTextBack = (
mhgradient,
"rgb: 18/2c/70",
"rgb: 79/a2/d0",
"rgb: 28/45/96",
"rgb: 18/2c/41",
);

Now I would guess those are colors.
2nd .... my menu currently looks sorta RoyalBlue gradienting ( <--- is that a word?) into a light blue. Why would there be so many (im counting 12) different colors in the entry above if I only kinda see 2 on my menu background?

Am I getting somewhere or completely messed up?
So I guess to sum it up my main question's are >

Are those colors? And if so ... Are there 12 different colors there?

P.S. when I do a 'showrgb' command i get 3 numbers next to each color but I don't see any 'a2' or '2c' as in the above.
And How could I find which colors those numbers are?

thanks alot :confused:

Check out this site, it explains the RGB colors with charts on how they are encoded or whatever..
