Postfix SMTP AUTH (and TLS) HOWTO
 

I've been at this tutorial for days and it allways bring me to this.
12.4. Check if SMTP AUTH works

when I ran the check, I get 535 Error: authentication failed

the tutorial allso refers to a file needed called cyrus-sasl-authd ,as you can see below I dont have that file on the system or even on my tiny sofa CD.

I have not found it yet, in fact I cant find it anywere at all.

also the tutorial is way out of date like 2004 and thats probley half my problem.

How are you authenticating? There most popular methods of SASL authentication are - sasldb, pam, mysql - which one are you using?
