Is this meant to help if someone Googles the question?

I do a lot of reading and find information that I like to provide links & information for fellow LQ members. If someone happens to search and it leads to this then of course it would be another means to helpful information.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

onebuck has been posting these "How to's" for a while now, and the last 4 have been pointing to one web page only: linuxize.com.
i am reporting this now, i find that it's advertising and does not make LQ better in any way.

My use of https://www.linuxtoday.com/ for daily reads sometimes provides links to the same site. Sorry you feel this is spam/advertising. I have no affiliation with any of the sites except a active reader.

I will leave this for admin to decide. I provide informational links to hopefully help fellow LQ members. You do not have to read any of my information or links. Your choice!

Disagree, the links would be helpful to those new to Linux, and if I can't remember something about said command, I could just do a search of all threads posted by onebuck. Then open the relevant thread, then link.

I don't see anything on the Linuxize site which passes as advertising.

It is a free, no membership required site, containing blogs or posts which offer instruction.

I feel you have an incorrect impression that someone's thread is specifically required to make LQ better.

ok ok folks i get it.
no problem; let's agree to disagree.
