KDE freezing problems
 

I didn't know where to post this, so I decided to put it in general. After I opened a new Firefox window using KDE, the system kept locking up and making whirring noises every 5 seconds or so. I tried different things including logging out, but it continues to do this. What is the problem? If anyone can help me here it would be greatly appreciated.

The offending process is KDEinit. What changes could have been made to affect this?
