Does NTFS support Linux symlinks & file permissions?

I am learning the hard way FAT32 does not. I just tried changing permissions on an NTFS file copied from system RAM & permissions will not change. Does NTFS have these same two FAT32 restrictions?

If you are using ntfs-3g then no to both symlinks and file permissions. debian 12 does not use the newer kernel module ntfs3 so I have not played with it but I believe you can use linux file permissions. I don't know about symlinks created on the filesystem itself.
