Both of them have been added. I knew I would forget a few good choices, that's why I made the suggest a new Award/add a new choice thread.

Games section...

are windows games included?

if not, how about sliding in Counterstrike (they've got linux server tarballs even tho it's strictly server-ware for linux)?

jeremy 01-03-2002 09:05 AM

Windows games should NOT be included.

Not to be too nasty, but this IS a Linux forum.

it is sad the day that i have to defend a question/request that i did not demand for. especially on this forum.

i asked the question simply because the category is 'games' (and not specifically linux games) even though it is a linux forum. to me, the idea that came across was to vote a favorite game, regardless of the OS. it was not explicitly stated on the poll that it was only linux games. i happen to enjoy Counterstrike quite a bit and wanted to vote for it. in any case, Counterstrike happens to have linux tarballs for server hosting of the game. i thought that might add some weight to adding it in the poll, even if only linux games are allowed.

as the answer came back as a 'No', i accepted it and voted for the next best thing available on the poll. i believe this is acceptable behavior?

i don't mean to be 'nasty' either shadow, but what seems to be the problem then?

Kiran I.
