So, what games do YOU play native on linux?

Well I may aswell ask this, who knows, maybe we'll get a good thread going.

As the title suggests, I was wondering what games you guys play native on Linux (no Wine(X)).. Please post your list here. I'm sure this will be an enlightening experience for all of us ;). OK, I'll go first..

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory: Well, obviously. This is a really good free FPS which you can download and install pretty easily on Linux. And it's great! :D

Uplink: This is an addictive 'hacking' game made a few years ago which I still play from time to time. It's really good, and the CD comes with a Linux version as well as a Windows version. It was made a British developer, but I think it's been released recently in the US.

ADOM: A roguelike game which I play more than NetHack only because I'm used to the controls. And it's really good.

Neverwinter Nights: I have all the expansions, the latest has come out today I have just ordered it, great game. On the other hand, Why didn't they include the Toolset?

Those are the main ones, there are probably others..

Full tuxracer (commercial version. well worth it), Raptor, Flightgear and PRBoom (Free Doom). All are great. I can't see how ANYONE can do the hard time trial in tuxracer. You can't miss a single fish! Hard to do at 245 KPH. :)

TORCS: its the best car driving sim around!
RTCW: great single player and multiplay
mupen64: i emulate legally (sort of) :)

Well, I am a big gamer, I frequent these forums seldom but check them out occasionally. You can find a list of the games I have played here. http://easylinuxguide.jsutnoni.com/viewtopic.php?t=576
There is a list of native games (commercial) and wineX games (commercial) that I play on linux.

As for free, I have played nethack, Prboom. I have not tried many but I am actually starting to explore this area a bit more now.

Neverball, ScummVM (Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, Monkey Island I & II)
Would really like to play FlightGear, but it says my video card doesn't have enough memory. It is a pretty bad card (SiS 730) but it does have 64MB and Direct Rendering. Anyone played with less memory than this?

chup 12-09-2003 02:05 PM

i was looking for a good flightsim for linux :)
im going to emerge it after my download finishes :D :D
