This doesn't solve the issue. I tried to catch some informaton, when this occuried. Debugging mode and log-files show nothing. Please help.

Might want to mention what version of proton because I see some mentions some versions of proton are broken when it comes to skyrim.

I tested Proton GE-7-20, PROTON-4.11-GE-1, PROTON_GE_7-16.

Some thoughts:
- You're jumping headlong into custom/unofficial builds of Proton ('GE' builds) and a lot of customization, why? - Skyrim (like all Bethesda games) is a relatively unstable piece of software, so depending on how frequently its 'freezing' or 'crashing' that may just be reality for this application. - You're running this on Intel graphics (And with not very much RAM overall), which is almost certainly not an officially supported configuration and may be contributing to the instability (as memory requirement grows in use (read: most Bethesda games have memory leaks) you get more easily to a place where OOM occurs). I'm also not sure how well (or not) the Intel drivers handle Vulkan vs OpenGL - you might try forcing it into the OpenGL path and see if that helps. You also haven't specified if you're attemping to run mods on the game (I'm assuming the answer is 'yes' because everything else here is a lot of custom builds/modification right out of the gate), which will also impact stability. It's hard to diagnose overall why its having trouble, so ultimately what you should do is strip everything down to the 'basics' and try again, but it may come down to the Intel hardware/drivers being a trouble spot as well. Do you have another system (I assume this is a laptop so probably you can't just swap GPUs) you can test this on, ideally with a proper GPU? |
I use Dell Inspiron notebook with AMD Radeon (TM) 530 when play this game. I don't use any game modes or modifications. I checked also vanila version of Proton.

on my system, Skyrim works perfectly. i don't use proton but only wine 8.0.
these are the dlls i have installed: Code:
$ winetricks list-installed kernel: 6.1.8-zen1-1-zen CPU: Ryzen 5600G GPU: Rx Vega 7 RAM: 8GB |
There are community patches and mods that improve stability. Try SKSE Memory Patch. If it fails, try Safety Load. I am not sure if I am allowed to share direct links. It worked for me.
