Blood and Blood 2 on linux...

I just found transfusion, a mod for quake to play the original blod. Could someone go through the process of getting it running the manual is mainly for windows users and is not very specific?

Also, is there currently any lobbying for a port of Blood 2? That is my favorite shooter of all time, after doom!

Thanks a lot.

Transfusion is cool and all you need to do is unpack it somewhere :P
But there's one BUT: there's no singleplayer and i would hold my breath waiting for it. Shame, i would like to experience Blood once again in true 3D, even as crappy as Q1 ;)

Thanks for the reply, I unpacked it into my equake directory. I tried the two executable files that comes with it and nothing happens. Do I have to due a equake +exec transfusion, kind of thing, or what? Thanks again.

Nah, you don't need Q1 for it, it's a standalone game. Maybe you have downloaded a mod version but i see no point in doing that. If you have downloaded full game and put it in quake folder then just go to transfusion subfolder and run transfusion-glx.

Thanks for your reply, nothing happens when I execute the transfusion-glx ...

Hmm, be sure that you downloaded standalone version, exctact is somewhere else than Q1 folder and simply run one of the binaries. I can't see why it doesn't work, i just did the exact same thing and it works (not to mention i'm :newbie: ) ;)

hmmm.. ok. I'll just have to play around with and take a look at what I DLed. Thx.
