minimum Linux with KDE

Hi, I am new to LFS.
I wish to build a minimum Linux with KDE as my first practice. :study:

Now I am in chapter 5, not far from chapter 6.
before reach to ch6, I wish to find out the minimum requirment of XFree86.
I cannot find any document about XFree86 requirment in the offical page!!! :confused:

Futhermore, I do not believe that it is necessary to go through all ch6... I mean, no need to install all package.
The introduction said it only need 8MB to set up a minimum linux with Apache, so I think there must exist some package which can be ignored.

thx

:newbie:

a minimum system with KDE is such a complete oxymoron. if you want something minimal use a small window manager not somethign as vast as KDE

Fluxbox! :D
Or another *box variant.
Enlightenment is fast and light and very cool. :cool:

Well... have a KDE is just the first step...

after that I will do the over-component-installation to poison the poor little LFS penguin...

but KDE can take absolutely for ever to install, it's not a first step..... it's a last step

well, I know.
LFS -> XFree -> Qt -> etc -> KDE

the "first step" mean:
KDE -> mozilla -> etcetc...
i.e. the first step of whole system

I wish u would know what I am saying.. :D

You dont need KDE for Mozilla, just Qt and other libraries.
I get what you mean but it isnt 100% accurate.
