SLES 10 with SNMP V3
 

I'm currently running SLES 10 with SPK1. It comes with net-snmp-5.3.0.1

it's my understanding that this version snmp supports ver3. what I'm unsure about is how to set it up to be monitored by another system like solarwinds. below I listed the items that need to be configured on SLES 10

SNMPv3 Username: smartf1n

SNMPv3 Authentication: SHA1

Password: pasword123


SNMPv3 Privacy/Encryption: AES128

SNMPv3 Password: secret123
