postgres problem[urgent]
 

Hai all I installed postgres on RHEL 5 and i am using it but suddenly after 2 or 3 days when i am logging into postgres it gives errors like this

could not connect to server
is the server running locally or remotely?

I installed it and i laso configured the iptables for the port to allow all.
Please if any one knows about the problem or u can give me install steps if i made wrong.


I installed the RPMS for postgres and postgresqlserver and made
chkconfig postgres on
service postgres start
su - postgres
psql -d template1 -U postgres
port accept all in iptables file.
