Need help to migrate from mikrotik hotspot to Linux Hotspot for I-net cafe..

I have a net cafe, it is going bigger day after day and the services I do offer need to be more efficient.

Now I am using Mikrotik RouterOS to:
* Setup a "basic and easy to manage" hotspot server or pppoe server (for easy to manage AAA method) or act as a regular router.
* Bandwidth managment.
* Firewall.
* Of course connect the users of my cafe to net services through a gateway.

It is going to make me angry, cause it is not doing its job very well. So I need an alternative doing the same and much more. But, the only condition is: I want it LINUX.
*******

my network is as follows:

I-net gateway squid firewall etc.: openSUSE Linux 10.2.
DMZ: DNS fedora 4, web SUSE 10.2.
Mikrotik RouterOS for what I've mentioned above.

I-net gateway

thanks alot..

I do not know why I have feeling says:
You posted the right post, not in the right section.

I belive that "servers" section would be better match with my post.

hello,

Unfortunatly i can't help you with your question. But i would like to remind you of something.
Which is, please don't expect your question to be answered straight away. Everybody who uses this forum is unpaid and answers out of the goodness of their heart. Hopefully someone will come across this and be able to answer, in the mean time i suggest you do some research into possible solutions.

And also, if you feel you posted in the wrong section don't double post, just ask a moderator to move it to the correct section

:)

I am sorry, I did not mean to be rude.

I felt that delay means that I was wrong chosing this section so another section would be better. Also I did not know how to move the post so I doubled it, sorry again, I ask the moderator to delete this post couse I've doubled it already.

thanks very much snowtigger for help.
