login banner problem

Hi,

Login banner is not displayed after i have created /etc/banner file and restarted the ssh service and removovint the comments for banner /etc/banner in sshd_config file , any idea?

have you tried using /etc/issue and /etc/motd for your login banners ?

/etc/motd is what is displayed when i connect to my box via ssh..
