How to take a OS backup in RHEL4

The gparted and partimage tools works for me (many others are also available), they are part of the SystemrescueCD;

I just use dd and pull an image of the system every week or so.

Bacula, Amanda, BackupPC, tar, rsync, cpio, dump are all tools you can use to make backups, and are free.
There's also commercial solutions like Veritas Netbackup, BackupExec, Tivoli, Commvault and many others. Pick one that suits your needs best. |
