DNS for Squid

Hi! Everbody.

I have my squid proxy server on Linux Enterprise Server 3.

I serve internet from 202.X.X.X to my local intranet network 10.X.X.X through my proxy server.

I have two NIC on my proxy server.

MYQUESTION IS ????
What entries should be there in my resolv.conf and is it compulsory to run DNS service on the proxy server.

I have also routed 202.X.X.X to 10.X.X.X on proxy server.

Please Help i am confused and urgently in a need please.......

the proxy server needs to have the DNS IP addresses of whatever DNS server it uses... usually this would be your ISP's DNS server IPs... you don't HAVE to run a DNS daemon on the proxy... you can have the hosts on your LAN use your ISP's DNS servers if you want, by using SNAT/MASQUERADE (iptables)...
