disabling xdmcp

Hi,

How to disable xdmcp in Linux Permanently.

Removing X entirely from a machine would disable it permanently.. I don't have X on any of my servers..

if that is not an option then I would go to the XDMCP HOW-TO and work it in reverse...

For Red Hat you need to edit the /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file and disable xdmcp broadcast. This will solve your issue if its Red Hat.
