Debian in a enterprise environment

Hello there!

I was wondering if there is a success story in using Debian in a enterprise environment.

I'm thinking of making a startup which would provide services of migrations to Open source for small companies and I'm in doubt on which distro to choose as a stable base.

It's not that much about the stability of the system itself as to having a potential bailout if an exotic piece of hardware is needed for which the drivers haven't been fully tested.

Help and advice appreciated

I would recommend Debian, I use it so I am use to it and would love to see it in Australian Education, but I would recommend to you that you consider Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well. To me the difference would be if you use Debian you have the Debian (and wider Linux) community to help you but if you use Red Hat you pay a subscription fee and Red Hat themselves help you. To me it all boils down to your level of confidence in your own ability.
