centos in a scientific airplane
it took me days to find back that photo from an old computer
as i tried to find it out, looks like that pic is not available on the internet anymore (1 more time!) i was thinking it was a kind of unix-like, as solaris or other type of specific system with the wallpaper i finally found it's a centos system, used for scientific-purposes into a non-IT department, of a public-sector organization. https://wiki.centos.org/ArtWork(2f)M...f)CentOS5.html that one is focused in the weather calculation process. It's called Safire, with several little planes, using, in appearance, several systems (including windows etc). https://www.safire.fr/en i was thinking i was going to find a unix (non linux/win/mac) computer for end-users in a non-IT related usage. havent found it yet :( img is too large to be uploaded using the linuxquestions hosting, so here are links : https://rehost.diberie.com/Picture/Get/f/256195 https://i.postimg.cc/vm6TJ9Hf/1.png |
Plenty of big computer companies have supplied systems for many non commercial uses.
I worked on a system in the Navy that took maybe 3 hours to boot into HP Basic. You would not believe what it was used for. |

I can't. Might still be in use.
We would actually start the bootup a day out just to be sure. |
