Will Ubuntu replace Debian one day? Will Debian disappear?

Hello,

It seems that Ubuntu is today common, although it is completely directed to Desktops, mostly, and includes high risks for unstability,... might be bloated,... do not use any longer alsa, and so on.

Despite all the problems, most users have made the choice: Ubuntu.

Google search indicates even for search'es with "debian deb": first result Ubuntu. Quite curious anyhow.

Would you believe that Ubuntu will replace Debian somedays?

Regards

+ Canonical / Unity = Evil (or might be)

I figure about a 50 percent chance of one or the other.

If Debian disappeared, Ubuntu would go right down the drain. The foundation would be gone from the summer house (I nearly said "house," but decided that "summer house" was more appropriate).

Without Debian, there is no Ubuntu.

Is only natural that everyone benefits from (as in-)free(dom) software.
