LXQt: Is it possible to change language to English?

Hi! :)

Is it possible to change the interface (NOT the keyboard input) language (menu, applications etc) to English?
Ehm...How???
I couldn't find a setting for it.

mrmazda 08-27-2023 08:52 AM

locale --help would show one way. :)

Thalassius 08-27-2023 09:36 AM

But I don't want to change everything to US locale.
Eg. I want to keep Euro instead of Dollar.

I only want to change the interface language -> English.

mrmazda 08-27-2023 11:55 AM

man localectldescribes a way. Another involves using export in .profile or .bash_profile or from a shell prompt.

Thalassius 08-27-2023 12:17 PM

Nope!
localectl didn't work for me.
I'm still able to change to locale to US, but this isn't helpful for me.

Any other options?

mrmazda 08-27-2023 12:36 PM

Did your search before asking here not direct you to this?

Thalassius 09-05-2023 09:52 PM

"export LANG=C" from bash had affect fore some programs, but not for all of them.
The other options failed here.
I couldn't find a solution, so I finally moved to another desktop.

THANKS A LOT
for your help!!!

I went to Xfce.
It covers my basic needs, without being very bloated and getting on the way.

All the best!
