Centos: a problem with yum groupinstall
hi all, I have a trouble with my Centos box, when I enter this:
yum -y groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment" the yum process stop at these lines: ..... --> Processing Dependency: gthumb for package: gnome-volume-manager ---> Package gok.i386 0:1.2.0-2.el5 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: libgnomespeech.so.7 for package: gok ---> Package gtkhtml3.i386 0:3.16.3-1.el5 set to be updated ---> Package hal-gnome.i386 0:0.5.8.1-59.el5 set to be updated it seems yum doesn't work properly, I've waited for 20 mins but... I received nothing. What's happened with my box? thanks for advising |
What is your Centos release version ('cat /etc/redhat-release')? Run 'yum clean all'. Run 'rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db.00?' Now what is the complete output of running 'yum -v groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment";'? Please attach as plain text file.

it should have been already installed |
hi all, thanks for your comments, yesterday, I've reinstall it, and it is succeed, but I still don't know why it failed at my first installation, may be this Centos Box requires to reboot..

the anaconda installer should pop up a window telling you to reboot. |
