xserver-xorg-video and intel i810 video
 

I find the xserver-xorg-video driver lacking (i.e. very hard on the eyes), and would like to know if there is a tool to adjust the driver. Other distributions seem to work better with the i810 so my question is what is the difference between debian 9 and say puppy linux?

i810 is among the worst of the bad. Consider yourself lucky if you can find any currently supported distro in which its graphics performances is anywhere near tolerable if you're familiar with what competent modern hardware is capable of. i810's coupling to the Pentium 3 leaves it lacking in sse2 support that distros offering current software and kernel versions require. Debian 9.13 was released on 18 July 2020 and reached end of extended support 18 months ago.
