Xinerama+desktop configuration
 

Hello!

I have dual head system working well with xinerama, still I'd like to know a few things, if someone could tell!

First of all, I used gnome before but with dualhead it is not nice at all. First problem is the location of desktop icons, they are located at the left screen and some are just split between the monitors. Any method for better controling desktop behaviour with Xinerama in Gnome? My solution now is using KDE wich is not bad but still.

Next problem is the opera browser. Everything else is fine, but the search window (ctrl+F you not) pops up at the other screen, not in the one where opera is opened. So is there a way of telling the window manager (KDE this time) to open windows of some certain program in the same screen only.

Any other suggestions and tips about practical use of dual monitors welcome.
