"Linux supported wireless card driver for Linksys wireless-g adaptor?
Hello All,
I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz usb network adaptor that I have been using in windows for a few years. This year I installed ubuntu and was wondering if there is a Linux supported driver out there for this card. Thanks for the help. -Russell |
Welcome to LQ!
That depends upon the chipset of the card. Issue "/sbin/lspci | grep -i ethernet" in a terminal and post the output here. |

Ok, I'm having the exact same problem. I ran that command in a terminal but don't know how to view the output.... I'm sorry, I'm such a noob... Thanks for the help! |
Run that command in a terminal and post the output here.
Put [_code] without the underscore before your output, and [_/code] without the underscore after your output so that it's easier to read. We'll tell you what to do next after reading your output. |
I'm running Xubuntu.....and basicly having the same issue....the OS see's the card but will see any ssid's or able to connect to the network. I tried running that script in the terminal...said that path didn't exist?? I'm a noob at linux sorry.
