I am unable to restore some settings in kde control center. Does anybody knows how to delete saved settings or something??? The thing is that when i go to network settings i had to choose platform because mine is not supported, that was fine until one day i checked "remember my platform". Afther reboot everything was fckdup: network not working, cant enable my ethernet adapter... Please help

hmmm... perhaps it helps if you edit your knetworkconfrc. Mine is in ~/.kde/share/config and looks like this:
Quote:

[General]
askAgainPlatform=false
detectedPlatform=debian-testing
Set that askAgain to true. But then, i guess you must have switched to "Administrator mode" in order to actually change anything, so you might wanna look at /root/.kde/share/config/knetworkconfrc instead...

But even if that kde-thingie can fix it, read The Linux Networking-HOWTO.

Good luck!

I've managed to configure my network without dumb kde control center...
