Is your AP setup to broadcast the SSID? If not then you are not going to see it until another device that is already connected or knows the SSID sends a packet to it

teenux 09-10-2017 09:59 AM

my device does not know SSID, there are actually some ssid around

OK, so do you have an Access Point of your own or are you looking for one to use?

If you are looking for one to use ask the person who owns it what their SSID is and you can enter this information into your device.

If you have a device you can always turn on your SSID.

OK, do you have any other devices at home that are wireless where you can check and see if you are seeing the SSID?
I just want to ensure that the SSID is being broadcast.

teenux 09-19-2017 07:59 AM

Yes, i have
In my other devices show any wireless SSID ,just from my laptop with deepinOS can't see any wireless SSID

lazydog 09-19-2017 02:33 PM

OK, is the wireless card even active?
Do you get anything when you run the following command:
Code:

iwlist wlan0 scan

hello

frankbell 11-26-2017 08:51 PM

In your configuration of your wireless access point, have you entered an SSID and have you instructed the device to broadcast it?

What is the make/model of the access point?

If you have not done so already, you may wish to read this. The more information you provide, the easier it is for others to help you.

Sorry this thread dropped off my radar.

What are you trying to use here 2.5 or 5GHz? I'm thinking that your laptop might only be able to see 2.5GHz.

In this case I have to use additional tools that is wicd-curses
