epson l360 printer is detected, but the printout is ascii characters

Hi all.
I have a problem where the Epson L360 printer is detected automatically by Linux Deepin 20.2.24, but the printout is in the form of ASCII characters. I've done it to update the driver from the Epson website, it still prints ascii characters.. anyone have a solution?

What happens when you print a test page via CUPS? http://localhost:631

I have tried the print test from cups 2.3.0 ( http://localhost:631/ ) the prints still show ascii characters

Just to be sure, is epson-inkjet-printer-201401w_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb the driver you downloaded from the Epson website? Had you installed lsb beforehand as
explained on that website?

You also may try your luck with foomatic
Code:

apt install foomatic-db-compressed-ppds
and/or with Epson ESC/P-R driver
Code:

apt install epson-escpr
as well as with OpenPrinting PPDs
Code:

apt install openprinting-ppds
OpenPrinting lists Epson L360 as "perfectly working", FWIW.
