Comptia Linux+ Certification
 

I'm thinking of earning Comptia Linux+ certification before going for Redhat's. But on the Comptia webiste, Linux+ LX0-103 & LX0-104 are retired after Oct 1, 2019.

what does that mean? will they come back next year?

These two exams were created in cooperation with LPI (Linux Professional Institute). By now, CompTIA offers its own exam XK0-004.

With CompTIA actively lobbying against the right to repair, their certification might not mean as much to some as it does to others.

Happen to have a link to confirm this?
I am willing to believe it but not read enough around to know it's true.
Previously, I'd have recommended people get these types of qualifications if they could have them paid for, since HR departments tend to just keyword search CVs, but if CompTIA are actually spending that money on harming the tech world and the environment it would change my opinion and, perhaps, explain their oddly-specific and, yet, oddly unusable courses.

Louis Rossmann was the one that exposed this when he was going to the different states speaking on behalf of their right to repair bills.
