WF741-UIC (Gigafast) driver problems

Gigafast recently started distributing on there site a linux driver for the WF741-UIC (Which if you read the docs that come in the download is a modified version of the Linux-wlan driver). I downloaded this and tried to install on my Slackware 9.0 System and got the following on the make all (Make config went smoothly):

p80211wext.c:1187: Parse error before "iw_handler"
p80211wext.c:1187: Initalizer elements not constant
p80211wext.c:1187: (near initalization for 'p80211wext_handlers [26]')
make[2]: *** [p80211wext.o] Error 1

I tried make install after that just to see if it was a negligable error, and got the same error (I tried testing it after that; nothing worked).

The error references line 1187 of p80211wext.c which reads:
. (iw_handler) p80211wext_giwessid .. /* SIGCGIhESSID * /

Any help or suggestions?

I've never even heard of this oddity before...

I haven't got much help for the compile, seems like they've got some bum C in there. Offhand though, what's the "/sbin/lspci" and "/sbin/cardctl ident" info on this card?

Also, you got a link to this driver?

Cheers,

Finegan

I have the same compile problem with Redhat 8.0 and this wireless USB adapter.
Check out :
http://linux-lc100020.sourceforge.net/
it says it supports the Gigafast WF741-UIC and I am about to try it myself.
Hope this helps!

Lightbulb Just add the comma

You just need to add the missing comma at the end of this infamous line 1187. Like that:

(iw_handler) p80211wext_siwessid /* SIOCSIWESSID */
becomes:
(iw_handler) p80211wext_siwessid, /* SIOCSIWESSID */

Stefcho.
