To Whom It May Concern:

I’m moving from WinXP too UNIX and I’m trying to buy a book or CD Tutorial for beginners.

I’m wondering is there a book or CD that could be recommended for people trying to lean UNIX (not Linux). UNIX for Beginners?

Thanks

Years ago, when the "For Dummies" books first came out, I believe with "DOS for Dummies" being the first, I bought "UNIX for Dummies". It covered a lot of the basics in plain language. If you need something that basic, i bet you can easily find it at many bookstores.

Moved to general since it's EXPLICITLY not about
Linux but Unix ...
