The Brazilian Universitys with small money, seeing the Linux an oportunity to make better your computer labs, has started the change of Microsoft Plataform to Linux / Open Source Plataform, scared with that, because brazilian public instutions and government offices are the best client here in South America, decide kill Linux in Colleges with inresistible offer to they universitys put the Microsoft Plataform for only R$ 900 Reais ( our money, +/- $300,00 !!!! ), with this value that collges will can put any microsoft software like Windows, Office, Visual Basic and etc...
They are crazy and are triyng to kill Linux by any form.

Well, M$ is entitled to price their software however they want...besides, this is a positive effect of Linux; now that M$ has a serious challenger, M$ will be forced to stop leveraging their monopoly and actually price their products as they really are worth.

Pricing Windows according to worth? Surely Microsoft wouldn't give it away? Hehe!

On a more serious note, it does show that they are actually worried about Linux. Not just a PR thing of "let's kill any other x86 OS around" but actually worried about it. Hooray!
