md5 sum incorrect

I have downloaded on two different machines FD4 x86_64 disc 1

The checksum does not agree with that shown on the site.

The chcksum under k3b agrees on both machines but not the sites.

Is this an error as the checksum also refers to the 5 cd's which are on the site but also has a dvd checksum which is not in the directory.

Anyone know where the dvd iso is as I would rather load that anyway?

Is this usual to have incorrect checksums with Fedora?

that are sha1sum not md5sum read this link this link .

Learn something new. My downloads agree with the sha sum.

It doesn't help me with respect to k3b which uses md5 sum.

I'm really stuck now as I have made two different discs of disc 1 -on two seperate machines- and discs from 3 to 5 and these all fail - except 5- the Fedora test software iso. I have never had failures in my cd blanks from this supplier so something is not going as it should.

Any ideas?

Where is the dvd iso as well?

Hey,
I have tried in the past too download FC4 and burn to disks.
The first try, i downloaded and did not check the sha1sum and burned all 4 disks.
they were all bad.

My second try downloading them, the sha1sum was correct for disks 3 and 4, and 1 and 2
were wrong but had a different sha1sum than the firsr try.

My advise try to download the ISOs again , and leave the machine TOTALY alone.
Do this for the first ISO. check the sum. If its wrong, simply download it again.

I had to download the ISOs 3 times, before they were correct.
I was pissed, but there is not much else one can do.

Good luck.

Josh
