Fedora Core 2 and Netgear MA111 USB Wireless Adapters?

Hey, I made a post about this here:

linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=213264

Please check that out and let me know if it is even possible. The reason I posted here this time is because I have been researching a bit and found all sorts of kernel stuff and I was just wondering if anyone here knew of a stable kernel release for FC2 that supported this Wireless USB Card.

Thanks!

07mac,

Go back to your original post. A person left a link for you to download the modules to install into your kernel. The previous post explains what you need to do as far as compiling and install the module that will make your MA111 USB Card work.

Goto this site:
http://rayli.net/#ma111

Download the drivers from this site:
http://www.linux-wlan.com

Follow the read instructions from the download. There are the
2Mbps and 11Mbps.

Once you read and get the appropriate files, you must compile modules and load them into the kernel. Good luck!

Is it just me or does FC2 have a problem with locating kernels? It keeps telling me that the kernel source I have isn't enough or something like that...

Is this FC2 or my kernel source?

check this directory

Code:

at3@AlfRedHat src]$ pwd
/usr/src
[at3@AlfRedHat src]$ ls -l
total 8
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root    root          15 May  9  2003 linux -> linux-2.4.18-14lrwxrwxrwx    1 root    root          15 May  9  2003 linux-2.4 -> linux-2.4.18-14
drwxr-xr-x  17 root    root        4096 May  9  2003 linux-2.4.18-14
drwxr-xr-x    7 root    root        4096 Apr 15  2003 redhat
[at3@AlfRedHat src]$

Check /usr/src directory. The message is trying to tell you is you must load the kernel source code. Find your Fedora Core 2 CDs and then load the kernel source code.
