Fedora _64, RealPlayer, firefox and playing audio from BBC
Hi
I have been trying to get firefox to be able to play audio from the BBC website. Previously, with other distros, I simply saved a couple of files from RealPlayer into the firefox plugin dic and away I went. I tried this with Fedora and firefox would open and then crash. The other advice for setting up realplayer and Linux on the BBC advice screen left me mystified. Anyone have any answers to this problem? Thanks Otto |
Hmmmm.............
Sounds like you have the 64-bit version of firfox installed, so check if yes then remove it and install the 32-bit version; Which version 32 or 64-bit:pm -qa --qf="%{n}-%{v}-%{r}.%{arch}.rpm\n" firefox If the 64-bit (x86_64.rpm) then one way to remove it is; rpm -e firefox Also see; http://stanton-finley.net/mediawiki/...allation_Notes |
