Fedora 9: How to log in with a KDE session?
'Evening all
I have just installed F9 on one of my mini-itx boxen and I'm having some trouble getting KDE to start. There is no option to change the session type in the login screen as there was in F8. I have installed KDE manually (yum install kdebase) but there is still no session option in the login menu. Is there some problem with KDE in F9, or am I just being a n00b? |
Fedora 9 I down load the KDE version directly that works fine it is kde4 be the way
Fedora 8 I use gnome version and down load kde via add/remove software that works fine to So there must some thing going wrong in you,re installation all the best |
Create this file and it should work:
Code:
[todd@hobbes ~]$ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop |
Does the session option appear after entering the username?

If you have KDE installed. There maybe an option in the task bar along with Language.
