exec init failed (booting failed) after installing Fedora 8
I installed fedora 8 from a DVD on to my AMD Athlon 2000MHz Asus motherboard PC. Everything went fine from the installation aspect but after the install was over and after the first restart the following error appeared and booting stopped
exec init failed Kernel Panic - not syncing /bin/sleep failed etc.... and my PC stalled. got the error in runlevel 3. in run level 5 the mouse pointer appeared and nothing happened over then... Please Discuss... Prasanna |
I am sorry I do not have an exact answer, however I do have similar hardware and have not had much trouble with F8 save for the mouse cursor being invisible when first booted.
I installed from a live CD, that way I could make sure the system would handle F8. I also have heard that sometimes cds, dvds need to be double checked to make sure they are ok. best of luck, ejn |
Thanks pal
