Compiling firefox stable with further updates

I compiled firefox from here https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla....structure.html but it turned out to be a nightly build

Firefox esr is not what I need in my situation. I want to compile a stable firefox that can be downloaded from the official website and which is automatically updated for everyone on windows

I found a suitable one in flatpack, but I don’t know how to compile the flatpack package and whether there is git there

I'm going to make edits on a new branch and I need to be able to roll out Firefox updates automatically in the future. But here a problem arises: if a new update updates a file that I have already changed, there will be errors, I can’t figure out what to do in this situation, what’s the best way to proceed

If you just want a newer Firefox than the ESR in Debian, you could consider the distribution agnostic binaries provided by Mozilla. This can be installed and run from the users home directory, can get automatic updates from Mozilla much like it would on Windows.

The version of Firefox for older Debian like Debian 8 don't work, so I typically use this portable Firefox. I move it from /tmp after it's built to my home. There are two executable files, if I remember I usually use the one deeper in the directories. I edit the .desktop for Firefox in /usr/share/applications to point to this one.
It creates the latest stable version of either Firefox or Firefox ESR. To update it just go to menu/Help/About and it automatically checks and updates itself if an update is available.

I find it to be faster than any Linux distribution version.

If you meant Windows OS, try the Windows portable version, no installing.
