Getting rid of busybox

I managed to upgrade to GNU utils and enable APT, but every time I open a man page it still says "This is not a BusyBox application". That is starting to annoy me. How to get rid of busybox, I don't need it anymore and it's just slowing the action. How and what config file I need to edit to stop DSL use busybox?

BusyBox in BIOS

I have THIS problem as it is insisting on a old Ubuntu version on a XW HP machine that hasn't been booted for 2 years and doesn't boot.. It is in BIOS!! Yup, unhooked the drives and BUSYBOX boots with the same old messages and selections..

OK 56Brome, the problem is not a bios issue.

DSL is a unique distro. I haven't looked at in a while. It is possible that busybox is the shell and to make it small man wasn't included.

I'd find out if your DSL environment is under a busybox build. Then see if you do have any location for man.

That HP has a 2meg BIOS and it is more than just the shell, but not the full 400+ functions.. I'm tired and not going into this today and of the few post that address this, the BIOS reprogram in BIOS is accessed serially (USB) as the A drive so I conclude that BIOS is B drive in DOS instuctions, but this tiny kernel preempts any drive thus I have to go through the BusyBox as a non password BIOS FLASH is corrupt.. Haven't tried adding a PW and then flashing as in the DOS instructions and I am not sure that it can be removed as if can be flagged in place. The Z820 has a bad BIOS jumper. Haven't found one on the XW board yet.

update.. Flashed successfully and it is still there.. of course, the flash is "an update".. Got to dig into the "B"
(rom) floppy drive.. using BusyBox commands.. for another day (like weeks from now)
