New widget style for GTK+?

I am running CentOS 7.2 with a KDE desktop. I used to use the oxygen-gtk widget style for the GTK+ Appearance setting under Application Appearance in System Settings. However, after upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2, this style no longer works well with several applications (such as Eclipse and Virtual Machine Manager), for example check boxes and radio buttons do not display their current state. The only alternative options listed for the widget style is Adwaita, HighContrast and Raleigh. I've tried Adwaita but it has problems of its own for GTK applications (dropdown menus are white with no borders), likewise for HighContrast. Raleigh works okay, but GTK applications have an old Windows XP appearance.

I've done some searches and have come across references to other GTK themes, but I can't find anything for CentOS/KDE, at least nothing that would add entries to the widget style drop down in GTK+ Appearance settings. Am I missing something obvious? This XP look and feel is getting old fast.

Alternatively, can someone at least suggest how to fix the borderless dropdown menus I'm seeing in my GTK2 applications?

i see what you mean with "not displaying correctly". arguably, this might even be by design.

anyhow, there should be more themes in your repositories!

failing that, try: http://kde-look.org/

The problem is described nicely here:

http://www.techytalk.info/fix-clearl...-applications/

So I guess this could be argued that the look is in fact by design. The solution described here didn't seem to work for me though. I can download lots of desktop themes through my System Settings controls, and the Look & Feel of my apps change as expected. Except for my GTK apps that is. I've been unable to find a way to install new GTK themes in CentOS 7/KDE. This site you pointed me to though did the trick. I can download GTK themes directly from there and install them under /usr/share/themes. I found one that has nice looking GTK menus so my problem is solved.

Thanks for the help.
