CentOS 6.10: automatic print most recent edited/newest file in directory.
Hello there
Need some help with automatic print most recent edited/newest file in directory on CentOS 6.10. I googled a bit and seen some manuals, most of them offers incron/inoticoming-based solutions, but i can't find these packages in repo. So, there must be another way to do it... |
Welcome to LinuxQuestions.
Just as an FYI CentOS 6 went end of life in 2020. incron and inotify-tools packages were/are in the epel repository. I did not look but here is the archive. https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/epel/ |
yes, CentOS 6.x is very outdated, but there's a very special software that doesn't works on a newer OS.
thanks, "yum install epel-release" solved some of my problems:) the other side of the problem is that i'm generally using Windows, so command-line interface is a bit challenging for me. all these funny things like installing a virtual PDF printer via text browser is kinda unique experience for me, but that's Ok, i got Incron to work properly. |
