8.2: No ping without VGA

Hello,

I installed 8.2 and it works without any problems.

After disconnecting the VGA screen (Not required) there is no ping to the target.

When I reconnect VGA, ping is OK again.

Can you please advise ?

The system is delivered with SBC(PC) only, without VGA screen.

Thank you,
Zvika

You AGAIN give us no information at all that could be helpful in diagnosing your problem. You only say it's an SBC...nothing else. No brand, no model, no diagnostic information, log file information, environment information, etc. How, exactly, do you think we can 'advise' on anything, when you don't tell us anything???

Since you've been posting about such things for quite some time now:
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ot-4175708180/
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ed-4175706038/
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...el-4175682807/
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...on-4175697514/

...this seems to indicate it's the same mystery hardware you've been working on for a good while now. And have yet to provide any details about it, nor what you're trying to accomplish. As a kernel developer with a claimed 15 years of experience and a specialized SBC 'team', it's hard to know why you'd post on a forum for assistance with your totally custom device/kernel.

Hi TBOne,

I can provide the output of dmesg.
Do you need further info ?

Thank you,
Zvika

Sorry, but are you serious?? Do you not read or understand what you've been asked for *YEARS* now??? You were pointedly asked, numerous times, to provide information about the hardware. These things were pointed out in this very thread...and you ignore them, and ASK if we need further information???

AGAIN, since you aren't understanding what you've been told for years at this point:
  • You have told us NOTHING about this hardware; not brand, model, specs, or ANYTHING
  • You (supposedly, depending on which thread of yours we look at) are using a custom kernel, or a stock kernel. You won't say.
  • You provide NO log information or anything that anyone could look at to begin diagnosing a problem
  • You tell us nothing about the environment/connection/etc.
And somehow..your only response is "Do you need further info?" You claim to have a hardware 'team', with custom developers and you yourself claim to be a kernel developer with 15 years of experience. So why is it that you cannot seem to provide the very BASICS of diagnosing a problem??

Answer the questions you've been repeatedly asked *CLEARLY*. Provide basic diagnostic information, and whatever step(s) you've taken to try to solve your problem and we may be able to help. Otherwise, there is STILL no point in you posting, since without any relevant information there is absolutely nothing we can tell you. See any of your MANY previous threads where you ask about this mystery hardware/software/kernel and won't answer there either, for things you still need to provide.
