2 Built in Audio Analog

I think after installing VirtualBox i got 2 Built in Audio Analog Stereo, which are shown when you click on the Volume Icon, the issue that is so annoying is, there's no audio in youtube for exemple, so i have to change the Built in Audio, next video, the same thing, which means i have to reset the Built in Audio every time i changed the website... how to delete one and keep only one Built in Audio, Using Linux Bodhi. I wish you understood me and Thank you!

ondoho 11-30-2018 01:44 AM

after installing vortualbox?
that's weird.
please show us
Code:

aplay -l
aplay -L

please note, the first is a small letter L, the second is a capital letter L.

Herr.Chef 12-02-2018 01:30 PM

Impossible to screenshot it and the pictures are too large. The pavucontrol just duplicated the Built in Audio, which on is working and the other one never works
The results of the Code :
Code:

aplay -l

that's weird.
it doesn't look like that at all on my machine, and i have no idea where that "loopback device" comes from.
to my knowledge virtyalbox does not do anything like that.
please open 'alsamixer', press F6 and try to select the proper sound device.
if that fixes your rpoblem, we just have to make it permanent.

Herr.Chef 12-03-2018 09:56 AM

Right? The Main Problem then is, the default is this "Loopback device". I don't know what that is and even if it's off the sound still on (After switching to Sound card as Default) But the moment i close or change any window, the "Loopback device" get automatically back as default. Is there a way to delete it? I am anyway thankful for your help Ondoho!

After pressing F6 in Alsamixer it shows :

- (default)
0 Loopback
1 HDA Intel PCH

Herr.Chef 12-03-2018 10:55 AM

IT WORKS! apparently :D i did nothing after it but now somehow the sound card stays as a default this time! Thank you so much Ondoho!

Herr.Chef 12-05-2018 12:08 PM

Unfortunately not after reboot.. is there a way to delete that Loopback?
