Problem with gaim
 

Gaim doesn't run on redhat 9/mandrake 9.1 on my computer ...
Gaim used to run on redhat 7.3 but ever since i have upgraded to red hat 9/ mandrake 9.1 ...i get the message "connection error" for both yahoo and msn ...tried installing latest version of gaim version 0.62 i guess...

also red hat 7.3 didn't detect my sound card which made me to upgrade to rh9
some one help me out

Gaim works on my version of Archlinux (0.5) without any problems.

i meant that gaim's not working on my computer properly

it says connection error...(same problem with RH 9 and mandrake 9.1)
gaim used to work well on my computer in redhat 7.3 ......but RH 7.3 didn't detect the sound card

i think you accidently selected the wrong forum
i dont see arch mentioned in the distros you listed

gaim works on .5 for me as well

maybe you should give arch a try ;)
