Audio Issue with Arch Linux Installation (Volume Stuck at Max)
Hey,
I recently installed Arch Linux alongside my Windows 11 installation (on a separate drive), and I'm encountering an audio problem that I can't seem to resolve. Whenever I try to play a YouTube video or any other audio, the volume behaves strangely. When I set it to 0%, no sound is produced (as expected). However, if I increase the volume to even 1%, it jumps to the maximum level and remains stuck at 100% regardless of further adjustments. Here are some additional details about my setup: - Desktop Environment: KDE - Display Server: Xorg (X11) - Audio Server: Pipewire If anyone has encountered a similar problem or knows of a potential solution, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance for your help! Please let me know if any other information would be helpful in diagnosing this issue. Cheers! |
How are you adjusting the volume. Are you using just alsa or pipwire too.
Have you stopped by the wiki? https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Adv...d_Architecture https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PipeWire https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Sound_system https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseAudio |
Thanks for the fast response. To adjust the volume, I am using pipewire. I read the wiki pages, but I didn’t find a solution to my problem.
