Upgrade to FC40 not going well
So I ran upgrade 39 to FC40 and "Hey we use GNOME and you should too. And to that end that's what we're going to install - like it or not."
I installed switchdesk, ran it and it said KDE is not installed - run dnf groupinstall ..." I did. ran switchdesk kde and it said KDE is not installed. Something else said dnf install [kde] - I did - no joy. HELP! pls |

I had been to the "... environments/" page before. No Joy. I don't know if it's my HW or the SW config, but my forehead is bloody. Thanks for the try. Plasma ISO being DL'ed as I type this. Thanks for the try.
Somewhat aside: dfn upgrade... knows what apps I have, knows what to upgrade. But seems to go out of it's way to ignore the Desktop config. |
