Ok. I'll share some more of my treasures with this dead thread:
I also found a bunch of computers, that could be classified as "retro" recently. Among them a huge tower with an AMD K2 (?) from 1999. I guess it could be fun installing old OSs on there, especially looking into the distros of back in the day. And selling it as "retro vintage wowie" on ebay might get me some bux. It's insane (and sad for serious retro computer enthusiasts) how much old beige ewaste boxes go for nowadays.
Will set up one of the rescued computers as a first time PC for my nephew. Unsure which Distro to put on it. MX Linux or Mint? The longer he can be kept from the Satanphone, the better.
Also found an Akai 2000 midi sampler (don't ask me how it got there)
Other than that I found around 6 flatscreen monitors, among them a high end IPS 1600x1200 screen from 2007. Looks great.
I also found 2 CRT TVs which I hooked up to a small PC using a VGA to SCART adapter. Makes a good retro gaming setup.
Ok. That's it
